The 2014 New Mexico Veterans’ Memorial Foundation – Veterans Presentation Series is holding it’s fourth installment on Saturday, April 12, 2014, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Memorial is located at 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE.
Mr. Atilano David, a sergeant in the 31st Regiment, Philippine Division, will share his experiences during WWII in the Philippines.
In July, 1941, The War Department established a new command in the Philippines, with headquarters in Manila. This command was called the U.S. Army Forces in the Far East (USAFFE) and General Douglas MacArthur was recalled as its Commander.
